On 4th November Elliott and I went to the Leeds Gallery to see the Yorkshire Photographers Exhibition. The gallery was very nicely set out, a modern open space with lots of natural light and clean white walls. There was a shop with lots of nice books and magazines to offer and a nice cafe where we had coffee and cake!
The photography in the exhibition were very varied, showing all works from Leeds photographers. My favourites were probably the photography of the abandoned spaces. Empty walls, staircases and halls full of bright coloured moss and mould. There were also a lot of landscapes which were particularly nice, and made me want to explore Leeds further as I never have done before. I’d love to visit more abandoned places.
First on my list will be Ilkley which I am going to tomorrow !
